Martlets Defeat Pride

The Martlets took on Trinity Pawling in a competitive Saturday victory. Although down a few players due to illness and Model UN, Westminster was dominant throughout the majority of the matches played, winning 6 of the 7 matches played in consecutive 3 game wins. Up and down the ladder the Martlets were effective and played great squash. William Jones ‘28, Mathias Seber ‘26, Will Henry ‘26 all won their matches at the top of the ladder, losing no more than 8 points per game. Crosby Cutler ‘27 played a tight first game which he pulled out 12-10, before cruising to victory with a clean second and third games at #4. Andrew Ma ‘27 took his first two games losing only 9 points, but had a fight in the third game which he eventually won 11-9. At #7, Zach Li ‘27 continued his run of strong squash and won his match only losing 11 points on the day. His consistency is paying off. Alessio Suarez ‘28 played a tough opponent at #6 and stayed with him but was not able to pull off the victory falling in 4 competitive games. The Martlets were happy with this Saturday win and return to the action on the road on Wednesday when we travel to Deerfield.
